Since our inception, WNDB has created and moderated panels at conferences and festivals across the country, including ComicCon, ALA, Book Expo, amongst many others.
The WNDB panels team aims to promote thoughtful conversation about diversity in children's literature at conferences and in the larger book community. WNDB panels either highlight an issue relevant to diverse books or take a diverse lens to a popular topic. We do not organize "Diversity 101" or identity-based workshops. Further, while we are delighted for the opportunity to provide a public platform to authors, illustrators, etc., our priority is to create cohesive conversations from a range of voices rather than promoting individual artists.
